This 1928 Steinway & Sons Model A-3 grand piano is a rare breed because it is from the revered “Golden Age” era of the New-York Steinway factory. These sought-after, 1920s pianos were constructed using old-growth Sitka spruce and timber that was denser and more consistent than any wood available today. These trees, paired with skilled, passionate craftsmen of that era, makes for an exceptionally resonant and durable instrument.
This is an originally single-owner piano who spent its life in the loving and thoughtful care of a home who had it serviced regularly. While maintaining it’s original character, this grand piano has been extensively restored by piano technicians of the Piano Technicians Guild.
