**Please note, Peabody Library will be closed today, Tuesday, 8/25 but will

be open for regular hours on Wednesday, 8/26.

**The 2026 edition of the Thetford Directory is now for sale at Latham

Library! Directories cost $5 and sales benefit Latham operations.

UPCOMING THETFORD LIBRARIES SPECIAL EVENTS:

NONFICTION BOOK DISCUSSION: Tues August 25, 12 Noon at Latham. We will be

discussing Old Friends by Tracy Kidder. Introducing us to the other aging

residents of Linda Manor in Northampton, Massachusetts, literary journalist

Tracy Kidder examines the sorrows and joys of growing older and the universal

struggle to find meaning in the face of mortality. All are welcome and we look

forward to seeing you.

OUTDOOR MOVIE AT POST MILLS AIRPORT: Fri August 28, 8:00pm. Peabody Library,

Latham Library, and the Brian J Boland Memorial Foundation are excited to

invite you to a free outdoor showing of :The Little Prince”! Come enjoy a

movie under the stars!

Location: Post Mills Airport

Date: Friday August 28 (rain date Sat 8/29)

Time: Please wait until dusk to arrive. Planes may be using the runway before

then!

Parking: Robinson Hill Rd or the field across the street.

Bring your own snacks and drinks, blankets, chairs and bugspray! Popcorn will

be for sale to benefit the libraries.

ONGOING PROGRAMS:

OCPCC PLAYGROUP: Orange County Parent Child Center

and Latham Library are cosponsoring a Playgroup on Fridays starting at 10

am, directly before Storytime. There will be a variety of fun and engaging

activities for all ages including songs, arts and crafts, sensory activities,

and more! For those who are interested, a healthy snack will be provided. For

FRIDAY STORYTIME: Every Friday at 11:00 am, unless noted on our website.

Stories, songs, and silliness for preschoolers, but all ages are welcome, at

Latham Library.

KNITTING GROUP: Thursdays, 6:00-8:00 pm at Latham Library. Knitters of all

levels welcome.
