Nikon D7500 DSLR camera body
This is turning out to be one of the best fall foliage seasons in years. I have several high quality cameras that are so sophisticated that you can be getting technically perfect photos with a 10 minute lesson or less. They are different styles and brands, but are all cameras that I use myself and sought them out specifically for their special strengths.
The newest and sexiest option is:
OM System (formerly Olympus) OM-3 with a 12-45mm f4 zoom.

Purchased directly from OM System as a refurbished camera, this is a micro four thirds (m4/3)
mirrorless camera where a 12-45mm zoom is the equivalent of a 24-90mm zoom on a 35mm camera. It features the best autofocus system for birds and wildlife;
people and landscapes are best in class. The OM-3 is as small and light as can be without giving up building quality and ergonomics. This combo is $1999 new when on sale. This one, as new and still in warranty, with an optional 2nd battery and charger, in box, is $1575.
Nikon D7500 with your choice of lens (4 to choose from). The Nikon D7500 is a 20mp, APS-C, DSLR camera. It was purchased refurbished, directly from Nikon.
It is something of an odd duck in that it has features and a build quality that typically was reserved for the Nikon pro cameras but was marketed to the amateur market. Key to its usability is compatability with all Nikon F mount lenses since the 1970’s, both manual and autofocus. Both Full Frame (FX) and APS-C (DX) types. I have lenses like an 18-105mm, 18-200mm, 80-200mm, 70-300mm, and a 50mm. Pricing will vary from $595 to $695 depending on the lens chosen.
Nikon D750 24mp, full frame DSLR. The D750 was Nikon’s mainstream full frame camera; affordably priced pro cameras that could handle 90% of the typical pro workload and 100% of what an advanced amateur needs. Impeccable image quality and compatibility with all of the Nikon system lenses. Asking $635 for the body and I have several lenses available from $95 up to $500; zooms and primes and macros.
Canon 5DSr. This is the highest resolution (50mp) DSLR that Canon made. This is a fabulous camera that can be used for any style of photography, but with its ultra high resolution, it is especially amazing for landscapes. If I try to describe its high points I will need to go on for paragraphs, so I will simply say, it is the best. Asking $1100 with a Canon 50mm f1.4 lens.
All of the above cameras are so sophisticated that the auto exposure and auto focus are totally reliable. Just put the camera on the “P” mode setting and your pictures will be perfect. All are excellent values and none are “that camera that you grew out of”. In spite of their long feature lists and capabilities, you will be getting great image quality with no complex settings or tricky techniques.
I also have some other Fujifilm and Panasonic and Sony cameras that could suit your needs, so before you go online, give me a shout to see if I might have what you are looking for.
