Foster Gardens will have a Last of Summer Celebration and Perennial Plant Sale, both on Friday, August 28 from 4pm-7pm and Saturday, August 29 from 9am-3pm!! We'll be up on the "One Acre", with a scheduled tour of the greenhouse and gardens each day! Feel free to walk around. Explore the gardens and grounds if you're up for it, as it is a trek over uneven terrain to the wood-fired, solar-powered, ecologically-growing greenhouse.🌞🌺🌹🌱🐝🦋🐞 Come see what we've been up to this beautifully productive summer!!

We will have perennial pots, many native…

ecotypes; succulents, both perennial and tender; and house plants, especially aloe, plectranthus, begonia, Thanksgiving cactus and a bunch of Mother of Millions(!!!) available. All of our plants are started from seed, cutting or plug, and never have been in the ground. We'll also have a Winter Sowing display table, so you'll know how to prep for this amazing way to start seeds OUTSIDE IN WINTER, without grow lights, heat mats, and mess!!

For perennial starts we will have: Calico aster, Canterbury bells. New England aster, Meadow rue, Swamp aster, Agastache, Blackberry lily, Bee balm, Echinacea, Boneset, Blue sage, Liatrus, Blue vervain, Dianthus, Chinese lantern, Creeping thyme, Lupine, Milkweed, Spotted Joe Pye weed, Columbine, Hollyhock, Blanket flower, Black eyed Susan, White snake root, Great blue lobelia, Helenium, Chives, Lavender, Goldenrod, Sage. By starts I mean first year of growth, from seed. They were winter sown, OUTDOORS, have strong root systems and will grow great and flower next year!

As always, you can bring back our 4" pots (tall, short, round or square), trays, baskets with drain saucers and 4&6 packs for REUSE. We will also take larger, decorative and landscape pots (mostly gallon) as we expand our combination pot and perennial plant selection! Please shake them out and remove the tags. We reuse those, too! To reemphasize, we REUSE, not recycle, so please nothing broken, crusty and unuseable!

We are located off of White Brook Road in Sharon. We will be rain or shine... follow the signs and enjoy the drive! Pull-thru parking ... watch for the signs on the One Acre, and overflow in our driveway just beyond.

Hope to see you this works weekend!!
